Soft Seal splices are flexible and can be reinforced with stitching for extra strength. Use Soft Seal splices where metal is undesirable. | ![]() |
Alligator splices offer exceptionally strong metal lacing. These are recommended for use with 5 inch diameter, or larger pulleys. |
Butt splices are heat sealed with compiler on the underside of the belt, creating a smooth top surface. | ![]() |
Overlap splices are the most popular type used in the industry and can be enhanced with molding for food processing applications. Overlap ranges from 1 to 6 inches, with directional belt angles of 22, 45, 60, and 90 degrees | ![]() |

Two-Ply Lamination provides uniform belt thickness, allowing consistent heat transfer. Splices are staggered for improved strength. This construction is available on selected fabrics and widths. |

Edge Reinforcement is available with 2 inch PTFE glass fabric folded over & sewn with two rows of stitching. Heat sealed PTFE film edges, and 1 inch wide fabric edges heat sealed on the top surface are also available. Edge reinforcement prevents unraveling of porous belts and provides strong support for pin guides and grommets. |

The axis of each pulley and roller must be parallel to all others and at right angles to the direction of the belt travel. The shorter the distance between pulleys, the greater the need for accurate parallelism. Techniques that improve tracking include belt position sensing devices that provide for automatic correction, and belt pin guides which receive pulley grooves. |
Pin Guides. Standard stainless steel pin guides, one inch center to center and one-half inch edge to center, are available on one or both sides of any belt. Edge reinforcements may be necessary on some fabrics
Now Available – Silicone Guide Strips. White silicone extruded guide strips extend machinery life by avoiding abrasive surface wear of pulleys. These strips allow belts to move smoothly, virtually gliding through tracking grooves. Can be used as an edge guide or a center guide.

- Rotary Heat Sealer Belts
We maintain a large inventory of rotary heat sealer belts used on continuous rotary heat sealing equipment.
- PTFE Fabric
Our PTFE fabric consists of a fiberglass substrate which is then coated with PTFE. This combination provides a dimensionally strong non-stick surface
- PTFE Tape for Packaging Machinery
PTFE tape for packaging machinery is manufactured by coating fiberglass cloth with PTFE, The material is then etched on one side which allows it to accept an adhesive system.
- PTFE Belts
PTFE belts and belting materials are available for applications that require superior release characteristics, and thermal stability
- PTFE Heat Sealers – Belt Repair
Now available through Andrew Roberts is a complete sealing package including heat sealers, high temperature bonding film and silicone release cloth
