Extruded Oriented High Modulus PTFE Tape

Extruded oriented high modulus PTFE tape – Known as “the orange tape”, 2285 is the ideal tape for protecting extrusion and laminating equipment during the plastic extrusion coating process which combines plastic films with various substrates. During this process, plastics are extruded onto the substrate as it passes between a neoprene roller and a cooling roller. 2285 is used as a roller wrapping tape to protect the exposed ends of the neoprene roller from the molten plastic, which is overcoated wider than the substrate.

FEATURES / BENEFITS: The high temperature resistance (500° F, 260° C) and anti-stick properties of PTFE make 2285 the ideal product to be used as a release surface. Extremely durable and abrasion resistant, 2285 will not curl or wrinkle making it long wearing and easy to apply. 2285 will not leave an adhesive residue when removed, resulting in less equipment downtime.

You may also need:

  • Rotary Heat Sealer Belts

We maintain a large inventory of rotary heat sealer belts used on continuous rotary heat sealing equipment.

  • PTFE Zone Tape

PTFE zone tape is primarily used in applications where it is not desirable for adhesive to come in contact with a heating element.

  • PTFE Coated Glass Cloth

Our PTFE fabric consists of a fiberglass substrate which is then coated with PTFE. This combination provides a dimensionally strong non-stick surface

  • PTFE Belts

PTFE belts and belting materials are available for applications that require superior release characteristics, and thermal stability

  • PTFE Tape for Packaging Machinery

PTFE tape for packaging machinery is manufactured by coating fiberglass cloth with PTFE, The material is then etched on one side which allows it to accept an adhesive system.
