2285 is the ideal tape for
protecting extrusion and laminating equipment during the
plastic extrusion coating process which combines plastic
films with various substrates. During this process,
plastics are extruded onto the substrate as it passes
between a neoprene roller and a cooling roller. 2285 is used
as a roller wrapping tape to protect the exposed ends of the
neoprene roller from the molten plastic, which is overcoated
wider than the substrate.
FEATURES/BENEFITS:
The high temperature
resistance (500° F, 260 °
C) and anti-stick properties of PTFE make 2285 the ideal
product to be used as a release surface. Extremely durable
and abrasion resistant, 2285 will not curl or wrinkle making
it long wearing and easy to apply. 2285 will not leave an
adhesive residue when removed, resulting in less equipment
downtime.
